Sorry for not posting in awhile guys.
I got sick and my parents are getting a divorce.
I've never seen a full grown man cry in real life and definitely not my dad for that.
It's a strange feeling and I dont like it.
It's a strange feeling and I dont like it.
My three younger brothers 16, 12, 2, and I at 19, aren't quite devastated as we assumed after 19 years our parents would grow old and nag us together one day.
I assume on my brothers behalf that they accept the social norm of divorces in families these days.
I honestly can't think of one couple who have lasted longer than 20 years and are truly happy.
To tell you all the truth, and it's something I'm not afraid of hiding, I'm not forseeing a future of me with a husband and brat who wants the latest materialistic fad.
I know, Ironic that I'm one of those children but why would I want to raise a clone that the world doesn't need?
Also the fact that I sort of quite literally play the part of the third non-gender biased parents for my brothers also repels me of adding more people to take care of.
Thats not to say I don't believe in falling in love.
I just don't believe in marriages.

Good luck with the transitioning hun! I was fortunate enough to be surrounded by long, loving marriages. I don't see how it's plausible in today's society (we're quite selfish nowadays, consistently chasing our own happiness and forgetting compromise must occur in relationships), but for some crazy reason my parents are happily in love after 29 years. I'm hoping I'll get that too, but I'm a realist like you. If it doesn't happen, I won't be devastated. Accept it. Move on.
My wife moved house today. We have three kids, 12, 9 and 4. I's Okey. After beeing married four times (five kids) I´m convinced that marriage is a form of codependency, compareble in structure with all kind of addiction, alcoholism, for example. With that conviction it was more easy to pass by the divorce.
I'm 60 on my 24th, my kids, the old ones as the youngster often see me cry, not because of sadness more as a balance to all laughter. They are not a shamed!
Oh I'm so sorry to hear that sweety! I think you're so brave to talk about it like this, my parents divorced about 7 years ago as and I was completely devastated. Personally I think I'll never fully accept it. Strangely enough I still believe in love, and maybe in marriage as well. I don't know whether it's the thing for me, but what I do know it that there are couples who have been married for ages and who are still in love. I'm hoping it will happen to me as well, but if it doesn't I think I'll be able to accept it. Good luck with everything and get well soon!
Lots of love, Lisa
I hope things get better around your house. i know its hard living in a house when the adults have had enough of each other. thank you for sharing that i think your so brave to do so.
